French-Ukrainian cooperation in education is developing
In Kiev National University of Trade and Economics, on March 31, 2011, took place annual ceremony of awarding diplomas to students of French-Ukrainian Institute of Management (FUIM).This year was presented a large number of MA diplomas - 23, including 7 of Vinnitsa and 1 of Chernivtsi branches of FUIM.
A special solemnity of this event provided the presence of honored guests, namely: First Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine E.M. Sulimov and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Ukraine, Mr. Jacques Faure.
At the ceremony were present, in particular; the delegation of University of Auvergne Clermont-1, headed with the president of Professional University Institute "Management and Management of enterprises" M. Shenevoir, and students of the institute who arrived in KNUTE for short-term internship programs, two of the French Embassy Attach?s G. Colin and F. Iverta, representatives of French business circles in Ukraine, management of KNUTE, teaching staff of FUIM, the press.
Festive ceremony began with a welcome speech of Rector of KNUTE A.A. Mazaraki to the guests and students. Also students were addressed with welcoming speeches by E.M. Sulima, J. Faure, M. Shenevua, N.M. Gulyaeva.
Then E.M. Sulima and J. Faure, along with two co-directors of FUIM awarded diplomas of the state French standard to students of KNUTE. A graduate of FUIM Catherine Vereshchak, with words of gratitude presented national souvenirs to Mr. Shenevoir in the memory of Graduation-2011.
Ceremony ended with the performance of anthem "Gaudeamus" by university student chamber choir.
After the official ceremony there was held a lively exchange of ideas between Ukrainian and French students and E.M. Sulima, J. Faure, A.A. Mazaraki on a broad spectrum of issues connected with further improvement of higher education in Ukraine and development of French-Ukrainian cooperation in the educational sphere.
Awarding Diploma of Honorary Professor
For outstanding achievements in the development of theoretical and practical issues of economics, as well as a significant contribution to the strengthening of the fruitful and multilateral cooperation between KNUTE and RSUTE, on April 28, 2009, following the decision of the Academic Council of Russian State University of Trade and Economics, Rector A.A. Mazaraki was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Russian State University of Trade and Economics. Awarding the Diploma of Honorary Professor took place on 15 March, 2011, during the ceremonial meeting of the Academic Council on the occasion of RSUTE Day. In addition, Anatoliy A.Mazaraki became the fifth prize winner of RSUTE medal named after Athanasius Nikitin for outstanding achievements in the educational activities and commercial affairs development.
On September 15, 2006 in the Italian city of Bologna in the festive hall of one of the oldest universities in Europe an important event in the history of KNUTE - the signing by the rector, prof. A.A. Mazaraki "Great Charta of Universities" took place. Among the participants were rectors and other leaders of higher education establishments from 40 countries. The ceremony of signing the Charter by the rectors of twenty-six leading universities in the world was also attended by Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mrs. de Boer-Buquicchio, Minister of University and Research of Italy F. Mussi and other officials.
Further integration of national education in the international educational space is an important part of the activity of the universities in Ukraine. A few months ago Supervisory Board of "Great Charter of Universities" after a careful study of the file of KNUTE unanimously decided to join our university to this serious European institution and invited the delegation of KNTEU to Bologna. It should be mentioned that for 18 years of "Great Charter of Universities" existence only about five hundred higher education institutions have been invited to its signing.

Significant event in the Ukrainian-Hungarian educational relations
On 27-28 April 2009 the delegation of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, headed by the rector A.A. Mazaraki visited the Budapest Business School (Hungary).
Both parts took part in the negotiations concerning further deepening of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations in all educational spheres. Special attention was paid to the exchange of students and, in particular, Hungarian master's degree program on English-speaking basis and practical training in the leading establishments of tourism and hotel facilities in Hungary.
At a special extended session of the Senate (Academic Council) the rector of KNTEU A.A. Mazaraki delivered a speech entitled: "Priority directions of bilateral Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation. View from Ukraine." The speech aroused a keen interest, as evidenced by numerous questions, which were thoroughly answered. Apart from the members of the Senate, former Government Ministers of Hungary (Economic and Foreign Affairs), members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and representatives of other non-governmental organizations and governmental structures of the country attended the session.
The rector of KNUTE A.A. Mazaraki was awarded the title "Honoris professor of Budapest Business School" as a recognition of scientific and pedagogical merits, his personal contribution to the development of cooperation between two leading educational institutions of Ukraine and Hungary. The ovation of the participants of the solemn ceremony that was held in the historical hall of the Senate of the Budapest Business School saluted the presentation of the corresponding diploma to A.A. Mazaraki by the rector of the Budapest Business School Eva Kriszt.
We congratulate dear Anatoliy Antonovych on a high and deserved title!
