Faculty of Accounting and Economics was established in 1966
Total number of students - 1654.
Research and teaching staff of the department accounts for 60% of teachers with academic degrees of doctors and candidates of sciences.
The faculty consists of 3 departments:
• Department of Accounting - graduation department in the direction of "Accounting and auditing", professional orientation "Accounting and auditing in entrepreneurship"
• Department of Financial Analysis and Control - graduation department in the direction of "Accounting and auditing", professional orientation "State financial control", "Public finance audit"
• Department of Economic Cybernetics and Information Systems - graduation department in the direction of "Economic Cybernetics", professional orientation "Economic Cybernetics"
Teaching process at the Faculty is carried out with the application of the newest techniques in classrooms with modern equipment. Departments are provided with computer laboratories equipped with modern computer and office appliance. Students have the opportunity to work using local computer networks and the World Wide Web Internet.

Direction of preparation "Accounting and audit:
Professional direction:
• accounting and audit in an enterprise;
• State financial control;
• audit of public finances.
Specialists are prepared for work in the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in the system of the Main Control and Revision Office of Ukraine, the Accounting Chamber, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as the trade, catering, in public and departmental control, independent audit control, control units, entities at all levels and forms of ownership, financial authorities, institutions of higher and secondary special education, law authirities, tax services.
Direction of preparation "Economic Cybernetics":
Professional direction:
• Economic Cybernetics
This research area includes the use of ideas and methods of cybernetics (the science of management) in economic systems. In this direction the economy in general and at the level of separate units is regarded as a complex multilevel system, in which arise, develop and die processes of regulation and control, implemented in the form of movement and transformation of information. The need to prepare this kind of speciality is stipulated by the need to provide an economist with complex knowledge in computer science, economic and mathematical methods, programming, enabling him to organize analysis and automated data processing for various industries of economics.
In Accounting and Economics faculty professionals are trained with state orders and contracts for legal and physical entities.
